This blog is supposed to be dedicated to writings only so I will stick to this. I haven't been writing, blogging or doing any word-stuff lately eversince I came back from Tainan (except to put up a trip report). Oh well, I still have the usual stuff about writing guides for the church; this time it was for a video based curriculum on the nation of Israel. Actually, I kinda like the latter assignment. Come to think of it, I really do enjoy stuff that has got to do with words. The second track of the coaching is going to start soon and I will be busy again writing reflections and submitting assignments. This track is supposed to help me focus my life - let's see how.

I finally got the article written and sent to the publisher. They also wanted me to change my by-line which I did. I can't believe that I am back from my mission trip. I have also finished the trip report. Now, I am just waiting for the coaching course to start again next week. Nothing much to write these days except that I felt a bit tired after the trip. Also, my BP reading seems to have gone up a bit. I hope that resuming my exercise will help to keep it down again.

whew, i finally got my second draft of the article written. the first draft was so shitty that i can't bear to read it through. when i sat down last night (at SIM HQ) to review the first draft, my mental frame was better able to absorb the arguments and figure out the flow of things. as it turned out, my second draft was so much better. well, at least i feel good about it. it sure beats the first one. i came away feeling that my final draft would finish the job just fine. it will be done when i return from my missions trip. hopefully after been left in the back-burner for sometime, i will have better insights and see the article in a different light.

finally, i got my blogskin changed to something more blogger friendly. the only setback i have is i lost all my previous comments which isn't much of a sacrifice compared to what i have now. the theme remains the same. now you folks out there can tag, comment and navigate with ease. hope the new layout is better and more inviting.

my writing journey began quite incidentally. i never knew that i can write until people around started to point it out to me. i guess many "hidden talents" are discovered this way. anyway, i am not much of a talented writer than someone who happens to love to write. when you have been exposed to some great writers; you would also want to try your hand in writing. just a year ago, for the first time, i was paid to for my writing. as i look back, it wasn't a big deal then but i guess it was a milestone for me. i will be writing for them again. at least, there are some people out there who thinks my writing makes sense. just over lunch today, i was once again affirmed of my writing. as for blog-writing; it probably won't show because we are to blog as we think off the cuff. so proper writing requires more thinking. guess i should seize more opportunities to hone my writing skills. i will attempt to blog with proper writing too.

I don't know if it's the host or my PC that is cranky but these days my blogs take ages to load up. Just the other day, I almost lost an entire page of writing.......bah. With this new blog, I intend to go according to the skin I had chosen.......it's all about writing. Writing about life. Call it part art and part science (that's what Stephen King said I think).

I have a writing assignment to complete this month. It's for a publication and the deadline line is very near. I only got my first framework done; no draft yet. Writer's block already.......

This is my first post. Not sure how things will turn out but I just wanted to try out another host for my blogging. Seeking for a different experience. Unlike msnspace, i need to edit the source code of the template to get comments, tags etc done. However, I still like this "new house" - gives me something new to experiment with. I particularly like the notepad, pen and writing paraphenalia thingy. Took me almost 3 hours to get this going - and I am still unable to provide the comments option!!...............and finally I got the comments (by haloscan) done but still figuring out a way to count them! :)
